Judging Others - Matthew 7:2 For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. A question to ask yourself. Are you too quick to form an opinion of someone or a group of people solely based on their looks or how they speak? Before you really get to know them? Remember God has created us all in his image (Genesis 1:27 God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them). Take the time to really learn who someone really is. Remove the wooden beam from your eye.
Blessing of the Children - Mark 10:13-16 And people were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them. A question to ask yourself. Do you have complete love and faith in our Lord like a child has for it's parent?
The Greatest Commandment - Matthew 22:36-40 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them [a scholar of the law] tested him by asking, “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”A question to ask yourself. If the person who lives next door to me is my neighbor, would I not consider the person two doors down also my neighbor? What about three doors down. At what point do we consider someone is not close enough to us to be considered a neighbor. Jesus wants us to love all people.
